A lightweight, sporty quarter-zip men's sweater knit from 100% skin-soft superwash merino wool, this high-neck pullover is based on a classic Dale of Norway Olympic design
This product ships to Canada and the US.
The Dalestølen merino wool sweater is a sportier, lighter version of Dale of Norway’s classic Cortina 1956 sweater. Made of 100% skin soft merino wool, the Dalestølen features an updated version of the Cortina pattern and a high neck with a quarter zip.
The pattern design is from Dale of Norway’s original 1956 Cortina sweater – their first ever Olympic sweater, made for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The Cortina pattern captures the very essence of Norwegian tradition and has become one of Norway’s most beloved patterns.
Dalestølen is named after a summer farm in the steep mountains surrounding Dale. In the old days, this farm served as summer pasture for cattle and sheep. Today, this is a popular destination for hiking as it offers great views over the mountainous Dale area.
