The Boot gets high marks for leaving little room for cold to sneak in– no socks please!
The ultimate indoor antidote to winter’s chilly ways, from the ground up.
Inside the slipper
Glerups are made using 100% pure, natural wool. The wool is closely followed throughout the manufacturing process, all the way from sheep to shoe. It's washed in soft water, carded, shaped into socks, and steam-felted.
All indoor models feature soft, flexible, vegetable tanned calfskin soles that are glued and sewn onto the socks. For outdoor wear, a natural rubber sole is available on select models.
After some final finishing touches, Glerups are ready for shipment!
It has always been a clear objective to produce Glerups with care for people, the animal and the environment. The wool is mechanically cleaned (to the best extent possible) to avoid all unnecessary chemicals. Only dyes that are free of heavy metals and toxic azo-dyes are used.
Glerups shoes can be washed at 'wool program' (max 86°F).
Vacuum and wipe your shoes clean from dust often, especially before a wash.
After a spin-dry, put your feet in the damp shoes, pad them into shape and leave to dry.
Because of the natural treatment of the wool, you may find traces of small vegetable fibers in the felt. Don't worry, this is completely natural!
The coarsest wool fibers are simply working themselves out of the felt. This causes the slippers to "shed" during the first few days of wear. Simply pluck these loose fibers out of the felt and your slippers will continue to mold to the unique shape of your foot.
