Ideal for tripping, the Calabogie 16 is an asymmetrical canoe that paddles easily as either a tandem or solo. Its shallow draft makes it very fast and its moderate rocker allows it to go straight, yet being able to perform sharp maneuvers very easily. Wider at the waterline and narrower at the gunwales, the Calabogie allows users to keep their paddle blade close to the boat for increased efficiency, especially while paddling solo.
Our Kevlar Lite laminate is a modern take on one of the most popular composite canoe materials on the market. These boats feature a Kevlar outer layer, foam ribs and floor insert for extra strength, and a beautiful naturally coloured Basalt Innegra Comingle cloth interior. Like our Basalt Innegra canoes, all Kevlar Lite models are offered in a wide array of gel coat colour exterior finishes.
