Opinel No.4 Keyring Knife

Some knives are meant for big jobs, and some are meant to just be there when you need them. The Opinel No.4 Keyring Knife falls firmly into the second camp. Scaled down from Opinel's classic French folding knife and fitted with a keyring at the base of the handle, it rides quietly with your house keys or clips to a pack until the moment you need to slice a cord, open a letter, or trim a bit of kindling at camp. The blade is Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, the same alloy Opinel has refined for generations, so it holds an edge well and shrugs off rust without demanding special care. The handle is varnished hornbeam wood, sourced from eco-managed French forests, giving the knife a warm, natural feel in hand despite its small size. Because it's built for quick, light-duty tasks rather than heavy bushcraft work, this little blade skips the Virobloc locking ring found on larger Opinel knives, keeping the design simple and the knife genuinely pocket and keyring friendly. It's less a tool you pack and more a tool you forget you're carrying, right up until you need it.
