Black Diamond Transfer Shovel

When seconds count in a companion rescue, you want a shovel that bites into snow and clears it fast, and the Black Diamond Transfer Shovel delivers exactly that. Its high-volume blade scoops more snow per stroke so you spend less time digging and more time getting your partner out, while the smooth-bottomed, anodized blade carves clean, vertical walls when you're reading layers in a snow pit. The trapezoidal shaft extends and retracts in seconds and collapses down small enough to disappear into your pack, so it's there when you need it and out of the way when you don't. A redesigned T handle gives you a solid, comfortable grip even with gloved hands, and UIAA certification means this is a tool built to the standard the backcountry community trusts. Whether you're touring deep into alpine terrain or practicing rescue drills close to the trailhead, this shovel earns its spot in your avalanche safety kit.
