The smaller cousin of the popular Bylgja, the Idun offers paddlers the playful hardchined kayak with a skeg. As all Norse sea kayaks, the Idun's hull is reinforced with aramid all the way through the keel and chines. The boat features three bulkhead compartments as well as a day hatch on the forward deck.
Idun is a beautiful Goddess with long golden hair. She is the Goddess of spring and eternal youth. Idun supplies the other Gods and Goddesses with the apples of youth, to keep them young and beautiful forever.

Lovely boat. Only been out once in calm weather little chilly out now. Primary stability seems a little twitch at first but once I was settled in it was quiet good. Secondary stability very good as well. Tracks nicely, edges nicely, very "playful" for its size. Not quiet as playful as the Stratos which I can get 180 degree turn on one back stroke (90 for Idun) but not the same type boat so... Once you stop paddling it will stay on course (unlike the Stratos), this is without the skeg as I have never felt a need to use the skeg in either boat. I am at the weight limit for this boat at 160 lbs but did not see any ill effects due to this, but it's my wife's boat anyways (but I will be using sometimes for sure!).
Nothing negative to say about this boat. First time my wife jumped in it for a paddle she was grinning from ear to ear! Great buy no regrets!
Lovely boat. Weather was calm and cold so just a basic paddle run. Primary stability seemed a little twitchy but once you settle in it's good. Secondary is very stable as well. Tracks like an arrow, stop paddling and it continues to go straight. Turns very well for such a long boat takes two back strokes to spin it 180. Dagger Stratos would take one but the Stratos will wonder when you stop paddling and it's a different boat. I took the carbon fiber boat, it glides over the water beautifully. Very comfortable (only paddled for about 1.5 hours mind, short run), foot adjustments very easy. Absolutely beautiful boat I have nothing negative to say. I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs so at the limit but it's for my wife and when she paddled it for the first time she was grinning from ear to ear...
Note... Only took it out once in calm water and may be last time this year but a few comments. Beautiful finish could not find any faults there. Well could not find any faults anywhere on this boat (skeg leaver may be a little big... but never hit my hands on it nor did my wife). Primary stability felt a little twitchy for the first few seconds until you get cozy. Secondary very stable edges excellent. tracks super well never tried the skeg. Really feels like you are gliding on the water. I did not try any rolls or anything way to cold but first impressions... Absolutely love the boat. I'm 5'10" and 160lbs so at the limit.. bought this one for the wife who was grinning the whole will she was in it.
