Black Diamond Quickdraw Carbon Probe 240

Storm's coming in and you need gear that keeps up with you, not gear you have to fight with. The Black Diamond Quickdraw Carbon Probe 240 is built for exactly that moment: one pull of the Kevlar cord and the CordLock mechanism locks everything in place without a stuff sack slowing you down. Carbon tubing keeps the shaft stiff and light at the same time, so you can drive it through hard-packed snow with confidence instead of worrying about flex. The aluminum tip is tough enough to punch through firm debris, and the newly updated graphics mark the top and bottom segments so you can snap it together correctly even with cold fingers or gloves on. Whether you're racking up vert on a spring ski mountaineering objective or running companion rescue drills with your touring partners, this probe disappears in your pack until the second you need it, then deploys in a breath.
