Description
A classic shape in a classic material, the Trailhead Canoes Cedar Strip Prospector 16 is truly a special canoe to paddle. The prospector shape is ultra versatile, excellent for expeditions, but also suitable for day trips. Designed for tandem paddling but also very capable in the hands of a solo canoeist.
Our cedar strip layup is constructed from red cedar with white cedar ribbing, ash gunwales and mahogany seats, yoke and thwart. The outside of the hull is covered in a clear fibreglass cloth and epoxy coating while the interior is finished with uv resistant marine varnish for a finish that lasts.
